FAQ

Yes, it is best to remove the wrap slowly and carefully, making sure that the fabric stays fused to the adhesive or that the adhesive separates from the optics or accessories along with the fabric.

If glue remains on the optics, it can be easily removed with an alcohol solution and a soft cloth.

If the film is carefully removed and the fabric and adhesive remain fused together, the film can be reused/attached. If the fabric separates from the adhesive and/or the adhesive remains on the optic, the cover cannot be reused/attached.

we work around the clock to create custom wraps for every popular optic and accessory on the market. If your optic isn't available, send us a quick note at rangerwrap@radialgear.com and we'll add it to our list of future products.

Glue specifications:
Humidity Resistance: High humidity has minimal effect on bond performance. No significant reduction in bond strength is observed after seven days at 32°C (90°F) and 90% relative humidity. UV Resistance: When properly applied, parts are not affected by direct sunlight. Water Resistance: Immersion in water has no significant effect on bond strength. High bond strength is maintained after 100 hours at room temperature. Temperature Cycle Resistance: High bond strength is maintained after four temperature cycles: 4 hours at 70°C (158°F) 4 hours at -29°C (-20°F) 4 hours at 22°C (73°F). Chemical Resistance: When properly applied, parts will hold securely after exposure to a wide range of chemicals including oil, mild acids and alkalis.

installation Guide

Make sure the application area is clean and dry. (Optional: Wipe the adhesive area with an alcohol wipe and allow to dry completely).

It may be easier to peel the packaging off the paper backing than to try to remove the paper backing from the packaging.

Since the adhesive is 100% transparent, you may accidentally separate the fabric from the adhesive when peeling it off.
If you find yourself separating the fabric from the glue, just stop, re-apply the fabric to the glue and apply pressure. The glue is pressure activated.

Once the film is properly positioned at the edge, you can begin to slowly smooth the film along the optics until the entire object is covered.

NOTE: If you are not satisfied with the first application, you can slowly and carefully remove the film and try to reapply it. You can do this several times the first time without losing the adhesive strength. Once the adhesive has hardened, it will be much more difficult to remove, but not impossible.

(Due to the different surfaces, we can only guarantee a one-time application, but it is entirely possible to reuse the product if it can be removed cleanly after the first application).

Since the 3M adhesive is pressure activated, simply apply pressure to your entire optic once you are satisfied with the fit.

If the fabric is fraying or has loose threads, you can briefly singe the edges with a lighter without burning the fabric.
